Baptisia australis also known as False Indigo

A native plant hardy in zones 3-9, this perennial is known for it's indigo blue flowers on spikey stems up to 12" long or more.  This plant blooms in mid-late spring. 

Attracts butterflies and is bee friendly.

Height: 4 feet

Width: 3-4 feet

Full Sun, will tolerate light shade

Harvest: Recommend cutting when bottom flowers are open, but upper buds remain shut.
