Asclepias tuberosa

Asclepias tuberosa also known as Milkweed or Butterfly Weed

Hardy in zones 3a-9b, this native perennial blooms bright orange flowers in mid to late summer. Can be used for cut flowers as well but you must sear the ends of the cut stems over a flame to stop the milky sap from leaking out.

Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and is bee friendly
